• 【Dragon Katana】 The Painted Dragon & Waves Katana is a hand forged, full tang Japanese katana built on a 28-inch blade of 1045 Carbon Steel, balanced for a two-handed grip at 41.3 inches overall.
• 【Hand-Tempered Blade & Edge】 The blade is heat-tempered to draw out a soft wavy temper line along the functional edge, then finished to an edge suited to dojo practice. A bo-hi groove is cut down each side of the blade to lighten it and improve its balance in the hand.
• 【Tsuba & Rayskin Handle】 The mounting is led by an antique-bronze tsuba cast as a single coiled dragon, while the handle is wood over white rayskin (samegawa), wrapped in black cotton ito with gold menuki and a brass habaki.
• 【Full Tang & Specifications】 The full tang is secured with bamboo mekugi, and the blade rests in a glossy black lacquered wood saya hand-painted with a gold-outlined dragon and teal ocean waves, finished with a black sageo; blade 28 in, handle 10.6 in, overall 41.3 in.
