• 【Clay-Tempered Visible Hamon】 The blade is clay-tempered to reveal a genuine visible wavy hamon along the functional edge, then finished to an edge suited to dojo practice. A bo-hi groove is cut down each side of the blade to lighten it and improve its balance in the hand.
• 【Tsuba & Rayskin Handle】 The mounting is led by a black iron Empire Wheel tsuba, a radial spoked wheel with a gold seppa, while the handle is wood over white rayskin (samegawa), wrapped in black cotton ito with gold menuki and a brass habaki.
• 【Specifications & Appraisal】 The full tang is secured with bamboo mekugi, and the blade rests in a glossy black lacquered wood saya with a black sageo; blade 21 in, handle 9.5 in, overall 32.5 in. It also comes with an appraisal document.
