• 【Hand-Tempered Blade & Edge】 The 1080 Carbon Steel blade is heat-tempered to draw out a soft wavy temper line along the functional edge, then finished to an edge suited to dojo practice. A bo-hi groove is cut down each side of the blade to lighten it and improve its balance in the hand.
• 【Tsuba & Rayskin Handle】 The mounting is led by a black iron Empire Wheel tsuba, a radial spoked wheel with a gold center, while the handle is a long 14.5-inch handle of wood over white rayskin (samegawa), wrapped in black cotton ito with a gold warrior menuki and a brass habaki.
