• 【Clay-Tempered 1045 Damascus, Edge For dojo practice】 Forged from 1045 carbon steel folded into Damascus steel, the blade is clay-tempered to draw out a genuine hamon temper line along its length and show the folded grain across the surface. The edge is finished and suited to dojo practice with a bo-hi groove fullered down each side to lighten and balance it.
• 【Geometric Guard And Rayskin-Wrapped Handle】 a pierced openwork tsuba and a fitted habaki collar seat the blade against the mouth of the scabbard. The wood handle is panelled in genuine rayskin (samegawa) and bound in cotton ito, with menuki tucked beneath the wrap to fill the palm for a secure two-handed grip.
