• 【Empire Wheel Katana】 A collector's Japanese katana named for its openwork empire-wheel (kiku) tsuba. The blade is folded Damascus steel with a visible folded grain, hand forged from 1045 carbon steel over a single-piece full tang. The blade measures 28.75 inches.
• 【Folded Damascus & Visible Hamon】 The 1045 blade is clay-tempered and water-quenched for a differential-hardened edge and a visible hamon along the temper line. The finished edge is suited to dojo practice, and a bo-hi (fuller groove) runs each side.
• 【Tsuba, Habaki & Rayskin Handle】 An openwork empire-wheel (kiku) tsuba guards the hand, seated against a fitted habaki collar. The wood handle is wrapped over genuine rayskin (samegawa) and black cotton ito with a menuki for a secure two-handed grip.
• 【Full Tang & Black Saya】 The single-piece full tang is secured with two bamboo mekugi pegs. The saya is a plain black lacquered wood scabbard with a sageo cord. Approx. 28.75-inch blade, 10.75-inch handle, 41 inches overall. Includes an appraisal document.
