• 【Identity & Steel】 The Chrysanthemum Katana is a hand forged, full tang Japanese katana built on a 28.5-inch 1045 Carbon Steel blade, balanced for a two-handed grip at 41 inches overall.
• 【Tempered Blade & Edge】 The 1045 Carbon Steel blade is heat-tempered to bring out a visible wavy temper pattern along the functional edge, then finished to an edge suited to dojo practice. A bo-hi groove is cut down each side of the blade to lighten it and improve its balance in the hand.
• 【Tsuba & Rayskin Handle】 The mounting is led by a pierced traditional tsuba above a fitted habaki collar, while the handle is wood over genuine rayskin (samegawa), wrapped in black cotton ito with menuki for a secure two-handed grip.
• 【Construction & Appraisal】 The full tang is secured with bamboo mekugi, and the blade rests in a red lacquered wood saya with a coordinating sageo cord; blade 28.5 in, handle 11 in, overall 41 in. It also comes with an appraisal document from the maker.
